A cool, confident, sharp, witty and well loved English Gent, Bill is a Golden Globe and BAFTA award-winning British actor whose continuous work on stage, screen and radio has included Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Notes on a Scandal, The Constant Gardener and seminal roles in Richard Curtis’ Love Actually and The Boat that Rocked. A regular on stage at the National Theatre, Bill’s TV work won him a BAFTA for his performance in David Yates’ State of Play and a Golden Globe for Stephen Poliakoff’s Gideon’s Daughter.
With an equally impressive voice-over résumé, Bill is instantly recognisable and has voiced many high-profile TV and radio campaigns including Natwest and Eon. Numerous documentary narrations have followed including the much-loved series Meerkat Manor and on the silver screen Bill was the voice of Whitney, the albino rat, in Dreamworks’ animated feature Flushed Away.
